An innovative concept

The Oxygen Challenge is a novel concept in the world of nature sports:


• 4 days:
  from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June 2011 (Long Ascension week-end)
  
  
• Focused on a single site:
  the Lioran Resort, in the heart of the Massif Cantalien
  
  
• A multi-discipline event, with no combination or mix of disciplines:
  competitors in the various events are brought together on the same site for this first nature sports meeting
  
  
• Open to elite and regular runners & riders:
  several thousand competitors are expected
  
  
• 2 sports :
  Trail Running and Mountain Biking
  
  
• A la Carte Challenges:
  participants will be able to choose from 12 events, of various formats and difficulties, spread over the 4 days. Each person creates his/her own ideal combination
  
  
• The Big Challenge:
  the most seasoned can register for the Oxygen Series, which consist in stringing together 3 events of very different formats over 3/4 days
  
  
• An environmentally-sensitive event:
  the organisation will be setting up strong measures to respect the environment from the word go



• Open to the public at large,
  Oxygen Village
  will be staging events and hosting an
  exhibitors show
  featuring all those involved in nature sports. The site will provide opportunities for many to take their first steps in a sport, as well as being the backdrop to events & spectacles throughout the 4 days.
